During WWII, Disney designed Scoopy the Bee for the McClatchy newspapers in return for a donation to the Army Relief Fund. The newspapers were the Sacramento Bee, the Fresno Bee and the Modesto Bee. Scoopy was first introduced on September 4, 1943. This type of brass belt buckle was given to paper boys or carriers. My dad was a carrier for the Fresno Bee for many years. Asking $45.00.
