At the heart of our operation is our production facility where we make tens of thousands of tortillas each day with a mix of hand-made and machine-aided techniques. As a Bakery Maintenance Manager, you are both player and coach as you repair and maintain production equipment while also managing a team of maintenance mechanics that will do the same. By keeping our machinery running smoothly, you support our production staff, and ultimately, our customers in getting the best, most consistently great local product available.

Responsibilities include:
Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance across all plant machinery
Manage a team and budget within your maintenance department
Respond to breakdowns with quick and efficient repairs so there minimal downtime in production
Troubleshoot diagnose and repair equipment errors
Take apart, repair, and re-assemble gearboxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, furnaces, drives and other components of mechanical equipment.
Read and understanding blueprints for working systems
Promoting safety in the work area by understanding and complying with safety procedures and reporting all accidents in a timely manner.
Deep understanding of motor controls, electronics, welding, plumbing
Adhere to procedures that support a food safety environment
Perform other duties as assigned or needed
Maintain safe and clean working environment

5+ years in a maintenance mechanic role in a tortilla factory or similar commercial baking operation
2+ years as a people manager
2+ years managing inventory and purchasing within a maintenance department

welding and fabricating
electrical work and motor controls
bearings, seals and gear boxes
General computer skills; will manage inventory and purchasing
